We recently received two types of spreads, a fruit flavored and a chocolate hazelnut flavor. Rigoni di Asiago sent us Nocciolata, which is a hazelnut spread and Seville Orange Fiordifrutta, which is a orange spread made from 3 lbs of actual oranges. I am not one to try out jellies/jams or fruit spreads but my husband loves them! He has grown up with homemade jellies and couldn’t wait to test out the flavors. I ABSOLUTELY loved the hazelnut spread, it tasted like a reeses peanut butter cup, and I loved it on toast. My husband tried out both and he wasn’t to fond of the orange flavor but my dad loved it, ate the whole jar already. My husband did say that the hazelnut flavored spread was a great sweet snack.

All organically grown. Wonderful on toast and as a replacement for peanut butter. Certified USDA Organic.

Soft, fragrant, and with all the flavor of Italian hazelnuts, Nocciolata is almost a sin of gluttony. It is a spreadable cream of cocoa and hazelnuts with ingredients that are all organic. In a traditional manufacturing facility, Rigoni di Asiago, raw materials are carefully selected and mixed with patience and skill. What you get is a delicious chocolate spread, made of an organically farmed hazelnut paste (16%), and sweetened with organic cane sugar. Among the other ingredients stand sunflower oil, skim milk powder, and cocoa butter.

Nocciolata Organic Hazelnut Spread with Cocoa & Milk is organic, non-GMO, Kosher certified, and gluten free.

This bitter orange is a fruit that grows as nature intended. Great with breakfast and on bread, and wonderful with tarts and cakes. Also great in yogurt and smoothies.

Originating in Asia, the bitter orange arrived in Europe in the tenth century, thanks to the Arabs. It may have later been brought to Italy by the Crusaders. The flesh is tart, bitter and full of seeds.

Not a Jam, Not a Preserve…It’s Fiordifrutta

Introducing an Italian Fruit Spread Made with Only the Best Organic Fruit, Sweetened With Apple Juice

Miami, Fla. – While jams and preserves both combine fruit with sugar and are thickened with pectin, fruit spreads are made without any added sugar. In the Altopiano di Asiago in Northern Italy (90 miles north of Venice), the Rigoni family has perfected a recipe for Fiordifrutta, the only three-ingredient fruit spread on the market. Prepared with perfectly ripened organic fruit, Fiordifrutta simply contains fruit, organic apple juice, and natural fruit pectin.

Each jar of Rigoni di Asiago Fiordifrutta contains over three pounds of perfectly ripened organic, non-GMO fruit. Thanks to its unique recipe, Fiordifrutta yields 30% fewer calories than most other brands. Also, an exclusive room-temperature production process is used to optimally preserve the nutrients and flavors of the freshly-picked fruit.

Fiordifrutta, which means “the finest fruit” in Italian, has an exceptionally fresh fruit flavor. Available in a wide range of flavors from classic (including Raspberry, Strawberry, and Wild Blueberry) to exotic (Pink Grapefruit, Black Currant, Seville Orange, and Pomegranate, to name a few), it can be used in a multitude of savory and sweet culinary applications. Fiordifrutta pairs wonderfully with yogurt and cheese, can be spread on bread, toast, and biscuits, or blended into smoothies. The fruit spreads can be enjoyed with pastries and used the preparation of pies and cakes. Several flavors are even wonderful accompaniments for duck, turkey, or roast game.

“I remember my grandmother making homemade jams with only fruit and apple juice,” recalls Rigoni di Asiago C.E.O. and President Andrea Rigoni. “Drawing inspiration from our cultural, historical, and food heritage, from a passion for good and healthy food, and through a process of continuous research and innovation, we developed Fiordifrutta.”

Rigoni di Asiago Fiordifrutta is certified USDA organic, non-GMO and STAR-KOSHER. It is gluten-free and is available in stores nationwide and online in 250g (8.82-ounce) and 270g (9.17-ounce) glass jars. For more information, please visit http://rigonidiasiago-usa.com/.
